Unsung Leader?

Michael Young might be a huge fan favorite in Texas but in Major League Baseball, Young is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated players in all of baseball. This year he hit for .338 with 106 RBIs with only eleven home runs. Many people will be shocked by his stats but he is truly on of the best players in baseball. Last year Young’s average dropped from a .322 in 2009 but he still was able to pull up out of the down year and fix whatever he did wrong to lead the Rangers to another World Series. He is definitely on of the best hitters, if not the best, in the Rangers history. This season, he became the first player to get 2,000 hits in a Rangers uniform.

In the postseason, Young hit 12 RBIs in 12 games for the Rangers. He didn’t get any RBIs in the ALDS so only in the ALCS and World Series did he hit for RBIs.

Truly one of the best players in baseball could still be the Rangers unsung leader.
